My communication style

Sessions feel like learning with a teacher. I may ask you to draw simple diagrams while I explain mental health concepts. Each session starts with a short mindfulness activity, then checking in on your week. I offer ideas and suggestions, and we end with final thoughts and possible homework.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a therapy client, I quickly understood the value of sitting with a professional. It changed my life! I pursued social work so I could help people understand their mind, emotions, and behaviors. I love the moment when clients understand their own experiences and patterns.

Collaboratively, we will set treatment goals within the first few sessions. With loads of grace, I point out your successes and progress as we work together.

Our first session

The first session is a time for me to review confidentiality and safety concerns, and I'll ask questions to get an overview of your life and mental health concerns. You can ask me any questions at the first and every session. I value your success and progress.
