My communication style

I strive to present a safe, supportive, and challenging therapy environment. My initial focus is to communicate a sense of trust and safety within the therapeutic holding environment through my clear and direct communication style. Once appropriate, I challenge my clients to begin to make the changes they would like in their lives.

My journey to mental healthcare

My path to becoming a therapist unknowingly began with taking AP Psychology while attending Van Nuys High School Medical Magnet program. After graduating, I was a pre-med student at UC Irvine, majoring in Psychology. During my undergrad time, my interest in the human psyche grew, but I was still focused on going to medical school.

My goals for you

I have a collaborative approach to goal setting with clients as I feel they are the experts of their own lives and are best suited to understand their lived experiences. I see myself as a guiding voice in the process.

Our first session

During the first session, clients should expect an experience that involves me getting to know their journey to therapy and beginning to know their story to build rapport. I hold a curious stance and remain as nonjudgmental as humanly possible to allow clients to feel a sense of trust and safety.
