I facilitate success towards goal setting by starting slow and getting to know the client beyond their symptoms. I assist clients by starting small and by making specific goals that are measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. I support the client through each step.

During the first session, the client is expected to feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe. I discuss their expectations and answer questions that they might have. I start to build the therapeutic alliance by being a listening presence and by validating the client's experience.
