Hi there, I'm Jason!

I am a first-generation Filipino American. My identity was shaped by my parents' experiences as immigrants and my own journey navigating dueling identities. I am committed to using my life experiences and education to support others in achieving their goals through small, achievable steps.

My focus

I specialize in working with individuals and minors (ages 13-17) on a wide range of issues, including anxiety/panic, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, caregiving, mental illness and psychosis, LGBTQ+ affirmation, stress management, mindfulness/meditation, depression, culture shock and immigration, young parenting, and phobias.

My approach

My approach is strengths-based systems therapy with a multicultural lens. I aim to create a safe space for clients to freely express themselves while collaboratively developing trauma-informed, needs-based interventions. I incorporate mindfulness exercises to help clients transform and empower themselves to find a path towards meeting their needs.

My communication style

My communication style is warm and collaborative. Drawing from my experience as a DJ, I have learned how to read a room and provide the right ambiance for each occasion. I bring this same attunement and adaptability to the therapeutic relationship.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare was influenced by my own experiences of disconnection, loneliness, anxiety, and isolation as a first-generation Filipino American. I sharpened my clinical skills working with foster youth and families, the birth-to-five population at a violence intervention program, and currently serve those in the justice system.

My goals for you

My goal is to support you in relearning, refining, and redefining yourself when old ways of being and relating become barriers to growth and happiness. Through our work together, I hope to uplift and empower you to find the path toward meeting your needs and living a more fulfilling life.
