My approach

I am a bilingual Spanish speaking therapist of a multicultural background. I provide culturally sensitive therapy and focus on cognitive behavior therapy. I attempt to provide an eclectic approach depending on the needs of the client.

My communication style

The focus of treatment is you and your needs. I attempt to provide a safe and informative environment that allows the client to set the pace for the treatment. I have a direct communication style and want clients to obtain the most out of their treatment.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to this profession in an attempt to provide a culturally sensitive environment that can meet the needs of diverse clients. I am a multicultural bilingual woman who knows the difficulties of obtaining resources with culturally sensitive providers.

My goals for you

In the initial session, the client will inform me about their goals, behaviors, or thoughts that they would like to focus on. Resources are provided, like reading material and workbook recommendations, to increase the client's ability to continue the skills within their home environment.

In the first session, I will inform you of your right to confidentiality. I am interested in learning more about the reason you are pursuing treatment and if you have had prior treatment. Discuss your expectations and how you would like to be helped. I am interested in learning about your goals.
