I'm Kate. I offer a grounded, approachable, and supportive approach to therapy. I focus on anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I like to keep sessions collaborative, practical, and sometimes even a little lighthearted. I strongly value self-care, mindfulness, and the healing presence of our pets in daily life.

My focus

I work with adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, and women's issues, including perimenopause, menopause, low self-esteem, dating concerns, and sexual health. I feel most comfortable treating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I use short-term, goal-focused therapy and draw from Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

My approach

I combine evidence-based practices with a warm, relatable style that emphasizes curiosity, self-understanding, and humor when it's needed. I enjoy working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and see therapy as a space where they can bring their authentic selves- serious, playful, spiritual, or anything in between.

My communication style

My communication style is down-to-earth, supportive, with room for humor when it helps, and I can also be firm and direct when it's needed. I create a safe, calm, and open space that feels encouraging, collaborative, and comfortable. I enjoy teaching coping strategies, so clients leave sessions with tools they can put into practice right away.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up in a military family, which gave me a unique perspective on resilience, discipline, and the challenges that come with change and transition. I believe we are all interconnected, and that healing happens not just within ourselves, but through the ways we relate to and support one another.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting collaboratively, believing that therapy should meet clients where they are. Together, we identify what matters most- whether it's building coping strategies, improving communication, or creating more balance in daily life- and break those goals into small, achievable steps. I check in often, so progress feels clear.

Our first session

The first session is about connection, comfort, and setting the foundation for trust- we'll start mapping out goals, but we'll also leave space for laughter, pets wandering through the camera, and whatever makes the client feel at ease.
