I am a bilingual therapist working with adolescents and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, stress eating, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. I help clients navigate their mental health challenges with compassion and cultural sensitivity.

My focus

I enjoy working with clients who, despite their mental health challenges, are looking to improve the quality of their lives and are open to learning effective and healthy ways of coping with their stressors. I enjoy working with the multicultural population who may be reaching out for treatment for the first time in their lives.

My approach

My approach varies based on your needs. I meet you where you are, validate your concerns, and address your symptoms through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Solution Focus Therapy while using a Feedback Informed Care model to ensure treatment is working for you.

My communication style

I like to give the clients an opportunity to elaborate on their story and current stressors afflicting them. I like for the clients to be active participants in the direction of their treatment. I like to be an active listener since no healing takes place unless the clients feel heard.

My journey to mental healthcare

My initial academic interest and background were in sociology. I have a background in research studying the support system of high school youth. I then started working with incarcerated youth and youth involved in the Juvenile Justice System, and this changed the course of my career.
