Hi there, I'm Monet!

As a Mental Health therapist with over a decade of experience in the helping professions, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my work with clients. My journey began in 2008 as a Case Manager and has since spanned various mental health settings, including crisis work, county court, and rehabilitation centers.

My approach

I approach each person I work with as a unique individual, recognizing their innate strengths and wisdom. My treatment style is collaborative, as we work together to build upon your strengths, achieve your goals, and create a greater sense of meaning and wholeness in your life. I am skilled in Psychoanalytic treatment and utilize a range of modalities, including Attachment-based, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gestalt, Complicated Grief Therapy (CGT), Narrative, and Solution-Focused approaches.

My focus

I work effectively with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, women's issues, and Post-Traumatic Stress. My experience also includes working with adolescents and members of the LGBTQI community.

My communication style

My communication style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I listen attentively to understand your unique perspective and experiences. Together, we'll engage in open, honest dialogue to explore your challenges and strengths. I tailor my approach to resonate with your needs, fostering a safe space for growth and healing.

My journey to mental healthcare

My passion for mental healthcare was ignited during my early experiences as a Case Manager in 2008. This led me to pursue a master's degree in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, which I earned in 2014. Currently, I am working towards my Ph.D. in integrative healing practices at the same institution. Having grown up in East Los Angeles and later living in the Bay Area and desert cities, I have developed a deep understanding of working with diverse populations from various backgrounds.

My goals for you

My goal is to empower you to harness your inner resources, overcome challenges, and lead a more fulfilling life. Through our therapeutic partnership, we will work towards enhancing your self-awareness, developing coping strategies, and fostering personal growth.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will focus on understanding your unique needs, concerns, and aspirations. This will serve as the foundation for creating a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, validated, and supported as we embark on this transformative journey together.
