I am a Clinical Psychologist with a significant understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of mental health illness. I am dedicated to providing excellent patient care with exceptional knowledge of mental health illness.
My approach
I am experienced at working with patients long and short-term, and knowledgeable about therapeutic treatments. My approach draws from Person-Centered and Interpersonal modalities.
My focus
I work with individuals and specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, and Substance Use issues.
My communication style
I believe in open, direct communication that puts you at ease. My style balances active listening with thoughtful questions to understand your unique perspective. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported in our work together.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN, studying from September 2001 to May 2007. To complete my clinical hours for licensure, I worked at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel, LA from September 2005 to April 2008, and at Wasco State Prison in Wasco, CA from May to October 2008.
