My communication style

I have been called a "gentle challenger" and love this approach when I both listen to others, ask questions to better understand, encourage areas of success, as well as nudge any areas of growth that still need to be developed.

My journey to mental healthcare

During my time in college, I was a tutor and music teacher to young students at different tutoring centers and churches--through that chapter of my life I realized I care much more about people's souls and emotional wellbeing than their ability to do a math problem or learn a major scale on the piano--now I love talking to people all day long :)

My goals for you

When it comes to setting goals, I work collaboratively with my clients to make sure we are on the same page for what we are working towards--I also make sure to continually readdress these goals throughout our sessions to make sure we are staying on target and staying focused on what you want to work through.

Our first session

In my first session, I always focus primarily on making sure my clients feel safe with me--whether through asking questions, making adjustments to the space we are in, or asking about previous experiences in therapy, I always focus first on safety and connection because I believe these are crucial to solidify before anything else can be addressed.
