Hello! My name is Jacqueline Galindo, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My approach with clients is gentle but firm and direct; to be inquisitive in areas of a person's life that they express need improvement, coping skills, etc.
My approach
I have an eclectic approach to best meet the needs of my clients, with an emphasis on solution-focused, cognitive behavior, and dialectical behavior modalities.
My focus
I have experience working with clients struggling with diagnoses consistent with (but not limited to) Adjustment disorder, adolescent issues, Anger management, Anxiety and panic disorder, autism, codependency, couples/marriage issues, depressive disorders, family issues, LGBTQ issues, parenting issues, physical/sexual abuse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD), and self-harm/suicidal ideation.
My communication style
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.
My journey to mental healthcare
As a therapist, I take great joy in seeing a person take charge of their lives and implement coping skills and self-care for overall improvement and functioning.
My goals for you
I aid clients in goal setting by assessing client's needs and areas of focus that they would like to improve in their lives.
My first session with you
In the first therapy session, I will review the limits of confidentiality, review a client's intake, obtain pertinent information, and inquire as to why a client is seeking therapy.
