I also support first-generation Latino clients and immigrants balancing cultural expectations and exploring identities. As an LGBTQ+ ally, I create a safe, inclusive, affirming space.

My work is personalized and shaped by what feels supportive for you. If you're drawn to a cognitive approach, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to explore thoughts or beliefs affecting your well-being. If you prefer a body-based approach, I may integrate expressive arts or EMDR to help you process emotions through the body.

My approach is rooted in curiosity rather than assumption. I aim to truly understand your story, needs, and experiences. You can expect me to check in regularly and seek clarification, knowing that insights and needs shift over time. I will be a present, engaged support, exploring new coping strategies side by side with you.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to becoming a therapist through my own healing journey. Through therapy, I first experienced feeling truly seen, supported, and empowered. That sparked a deep curiosity about how healing happens. The idea that we aren't stuck in our pain, that healing is possible neurologically, was comforting and hopeful.

My goals for you

I take a collaborative approach—working together to clarify your hopes for treatment. We'll create meaningful goals aligned with what you want to achieve, whether that's feeling less anxious, improving your mood, or easing traumatic memories. We'll track progress using assessments, but measure success by how you feel and function day to day.

Our first session

The first session is an information-gathering stage. I'll get to know you, what brings you to therapy, and what changes you'd like to see. It's also a chance for you to ask questions and sense whether we might be a good fit. Feeling nervous is totally normal. If you're open to continuing, I'll meet you where you are and support your needs.
