My communication style

I'm a good listener who values emotional language and connection. I find it important to understand how people think and feel. I listen with an open mind and can ask questions and offer guidance that is non-judgmental and supportive.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was fascinated by human behavior and wanted to understand what motivated people. When I entered therapy and explored what motivated me, I knew I had found my profession. Witnessing my clients making progress toward positive changes is my biggest motivator.

My goals for you

I help clients identify goals by asking what they'd like to accomplish and what outcome they hope to achieve. We explore what has been inhibiting them, then identify their expectations and motivations to take on the challenge of reaching their goal.

Our first session

I start by greeting you and handling business paperwork: confidentiality, release forms, booking, payments, and after-hours access. The majority of the session I spend getting to know you and connecting. I explore what brought you to therapy and ask about your history, relationships, living situation, and career.
