Hello, I'm Denise Holmes, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy for adults and seniors. I help clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, relationships, and stress management. My warm and collaborative approach aims to create a safe space for growth and well-being.
My approach
I draw upon an eclectic range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, Narrative, and Psychodynamic approaches. By tailoring my methods to each individual's needs, I strive to empower clients with insights and tools for positive change.
My focus
I specialize in working with adults and seniors facing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns and life challenges. These include anxiety, depression, coping with medical stress, adjusting to life changes, processing trauma, clarifying goals, navigating relationships and aging, and developing stress management skills.
My communication style
My communication style is empathetic, nonjudgmental, interactive, and collaborative. I aim to build a relationship of mutual trust, respect, and curiosity with each client. Together, we explore the connections between thoughts, feelings, and self-limiting behaviors to facilitate growth and healing.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from California State University, San Bernardino between August 2005 and August 2007. This rigorous training, along with my innate desire to support others, has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide high-quality mental healthcare.

Through our work together, I hope to empower you to lead a more fulfilling and authentic life, equipped with the tools to navigate life's challenges with confidence.
My first session with you
During our initial session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and collaboratively identify your unique goals and needs. This session allows us to begin building a therapeutic alliance and creating a roadmap for our work together. I want you to feel heard, validated, and supported from the very start of our journey.
