Hi there, I'm Arpine!

I'm passionate about working with culturally diverse individuals and provide services in Armenian and Russian. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, bringing experience from community mental health, schools, and intensive outpatient settings. I'm committed to creating a space where you feel understood and supported.

My focus

We are all social beings, and many mental health challenges result from interpersonal traumas. Healing takes place in the context of relationship. I work with individuals navigating cultural identity, trauma, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I'll be honored to become your companion in this healing journey.

I consider seeking therapy a demonstration of your inner strength. My goal is to create a safe environment for you to speak and be heard. I hold the torch for you to explore hidden parts of yourself. My treatment approach is relational and focused on discovering interpersonal patterns that shape your experiences.

My communication style

I consider the therapeutic relationship essential for change. We'll establish a trusting relationship where concerns and observations can be shared and heard. I frequently use metaphors to discuss complex topics and humor to ease discomfort and help you confront distress in a supportive way.

My journey to mental healthcare

My childhood was shaped by geopolitical upheaval—a devastating earthquake, regional war, and the influx of soldiers with PTSD. These experiences increased my capacity to understand human sorrow and compelled me toward a calling that could positively change lives. Empathy and an urge to help guide my work.

I see treatment goals as fluid. Initial goals are frequently reevaluated and adjusted as the process progresses. I'm there to meet you where you are, help you develop meaningful goals, and work together to get you where you want to be.

Our first session

Our first session allows us to get to know one another and determine whether this is a good match. It's normal to feel nervous. We'll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. This comprehensive interview helps me understand you and your needs so we can create an individually tailored treatment plan by the end of our session.
