My communication style

I try to put you at ease. Deciding to come to therapy can be brave and anxiety-provoking. I make sure every client feels safe and confident that we can work together. I am respectful of your thoughts and feelings and use humor to build rapport. I am present and communicative about my expectations.

I am a goal-driven person who loves helping clients feel safe, confident, and worthy. It helps me feel grateful to know that I'm helping others and hopefully making a difference.

My goals for you

At the beginning of our work together, we discuss goals and objectives. At the start of every session, I ask what you would like to work on today. It is your time, and you should come prepared to talk about the issues you have been experiencing and struggling with.

Our first session

I start by introducing myself and going over housekeeping issues: I take notes, I like clients to keep a notebook to remember what we discussed, and I give homework related to issues reviewed in session. I ask questions to build rapport and get a good sense of you. I am informal and create an easygoing environment.
