I'm here to help in a safe and supportive way so that you can be yourself as you work through your thoughts and feelings.

My focus

I work with children, young adults, and adults who struggle with anxiety or trauma-related symptoms. I help you go deeper than talk therapy to explore somatic sensations and creative coping skills that help you self-regulate and bring out your true self. I take a thoughtful, immersive, and tailored approach to art therapy with anyone interested.

My approach

I approach every person with curiosity, compassion, and loving kindness. I work towards deeper meaning, insight, growth, and healing through self-expression using mindfulness, trauma resiliency model, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, internal family systems, and art therapy.

My communication style

My communication style is direct but gentle, curious and reflective, warm and inviting. I engage in active listening and create a supportive and non-judgmental space for you to work through difficult and sensitive material at your own pace.

My journey to mental healthcare

Early on, I learned the value of art as therapy and found it to be a medium for healing. I had the deeply fulfilling opportunity to help others process and overcome trauma in expressive and somatic ways. This experience gave me a sense of purpose in supporting others on their healing journeys.

Therapy with me will feel collaborative. I will help you identify and set goals that matter to you, tailor sessions around strategies and interventions that support your goals, and adapt our treatment plan at any time to make sure it's always meaningful and relevant to you.

Our first session

Our first session will center around getting to know each other. I will ask you questions about your life and background, and your reasons for turning to therapy, and answer any questions you have. It's completely normal to feel nervous. We'll take it one step at a time, making sure you are comfortable with me and with the process.
