Hi there, I'm Bianka!

I've been a licensed therapist since 2020. I've worked in the mental health field since 2010. I love to support people who've experienced childhood trauma or are parenting and want to learn how to do better for their kids. I love to work with children and teens. I'm funny, a bit casual, and really invested in helping you understand yourself

My focus

My favorite clients to work with are those who have been through childhood trauma. I like to help them feel safe and seen, to provide them with information on how those experienced affected them, and then to reparent them through a safe connection.

My approach

When I'm working with children I engage them in play therapy. With older kiddos or adults I use attachment based therapy, which means I will help you connect why you are the way you are to how you first experienced the world as a small child, and then we work on how to change the things you don't like.

My communication style

I am funny, pretty casual, and I have a knack for explaining complicated ideas in very simple terms. I like to build a strong bond with my clients so they can feel at ease. However, I do have strong boundaries and work to keep the relationship safe.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up in war and poverty and noticed how differently we all respond to the same situations. I wanted to learn why my response was different from my family's. I've also always loved connecting with people and getting to know others on a deep level. That's turned into a love for helping people get to know themselves.

My goals for you

I help client reach their goals through insight and actionable steps. You tell me what you want your life to look like, and I will help you figure out why you are the way you are, and how to interact with the world in the way that feels good to you.

Our first session

I want to make sure you understand your rights and what being in therapy might feel like. I like to explore how you feel about yourself and your life, and what you want to be different. I also like to gather a history of important events that have led to you meeting with me.
