Hi there, I'm Linett!

Whether you've been in therapy before or this is your first time, I welcome you and am proud of you for taking this first step. I provide individual therapy to adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues, and looking to find collaborative and supportive approaches to feeling better.

My focus

I work with adults who are trying to manage anxiety, learn ways to increase self-esteem, challenge negative thoughts, and find ways to cope with the ups and downs of life. If you are open to exploring patterns of behaviors and thoughts, I can help create a plan to meet your therapy goals in a compassionate and non-judgmental space.

My approach

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to understand negative thoughts and beliefs and how those thoughts affect patterns of behaviors and mood. I am flexible with adjusting depending on your needs. Most importantly, I want you to feel heard and supported and be open to finding interventions that can help you feel better.

My communication style

My communication style in therapy is open, compassionate, and warm. I prioritize active listening and want you to feel heard, supported, and respected in a non-judgmental space. My hope is that you can feel safe and have a strong rapport where you can share openly and willingly.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey into therapy began with curiosity about human nature and unpacking the why behind behaviors and beliefs. I came to appreciate the power of human relationships and how healing it can be to have someone present and listening. Seeing clients make progress, no matter how small, has been incredibly rewarding.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is identifying realistic and attainable goals collaboratively. Whether you want to reduce symptoms, improve relationships, increase self-esteem, or find healthy ways to cope with stress, I can help provide tools, motivate, and point out successes using a strength-based approach.

Our first session

Our first session will be about getting to know one another, but most importantly, you and what is bringing you into therapy. This session will be the beginning of building trust and what will become our therapeutic relationship. It will be a time to gather background information, discuss goals, and answer questions.
