My name is Carla Francisco and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Southern California. I work with clients throughout the state of California via telehealth. I work with adults experiencing anxiety and/or depression due to various life transitions such as starting a career, starting or ending a relationship, empty nest syndrome, perimenopause, and many other transitional concerns.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is going to be consistent with the individual needs of the client I am working with. My most common theoretical approaches include Solutions-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My focus
My style and approach cater to adults who may need some assistance working through the many challenges that life transitions can bring. I help my clients to develop coping mechanisms to face these challenges as they occur throughout the life cycle.
My communication style
Rapport building is important to the therapeutic relationship. It is my goal for clients to feel comfortable working with me. I present from a realist approach with a warm and personable style.
My journey to mental healthcare
Working to decrease the stigma associated with mental illness is what drives me to do this work as a therapist. Mental health concerns need to be normalized. Most adults will experience some mental health concerns throughout their lifetime and I am here to help normalize the process.
My goals for you
Goal setting is led by the client. I will work alongside the client to help accomplish defined goals.
My first session with you
During the first session, a client can expect me to get to know them and learn why therapy is being sought. In order to establish rapport, I will ask questions and I will encourage the client to ask questions as well.
