Hi there, I'm Jonathan!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed by the state of California. My approach to therapy is to work with you to find the style that will work best for you. I tend to lean towards Cognitive Behavioral, but I am eclectic and well-versed in other modalities. It would be my privilege to work with you.

My focus

I have treated many different conditions. Currently, I see a lot of Depression, Anxiety, and OCD, as well as others. I also enjoy working with couples.

My approach

I will work with you to determine what approach to therapy works best for you based on your style and what brought you to therapy. I tend to lean toward evidence-based theory, such as Cognitive Behavioral or Trauma-Informed.

My communication style

I tend to be a direct communicator, so with me, you will never have to guess what is going on. I will do my best to make sure you feel comfortable working towards your goals. My clients tell me I am easy to talk to, and they feel heard. I will do my best to create a relaxed environment so you are at ease.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began at the undergraduate level when a professor encouraged me to pursue this field. I came to fall in love with doing therapy and helping people. The greatest joy I have is to see people like you get significantly better.

We will set your therapeutic goals together. I may recommend a few, but these goals are what you want to accomplish in therapy.

Our first session

You should expect a give-and-take in the first session. I will ask you a lot of screening and diagnostic questions so I can best understand your needs moving forward. There will be time for you to ask questions of me as well.
