I believe your capacity for personal growth can be strengthened through a supportive and affirming environment. My approach is based on empathy and active listening so you can express yourself openly. I also utilize CBT, mindfulness-based techniques, and EMDR.

My communication style is gentle and easy-going. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe and supported. I use active listening so you feel heard and validated, and I ask questions to encourage self-reflection.

My journey to mental healthcare

My personal, educational, and professional experiences motivated me to become a psychologist. I grew a passion for mental health awareness and providing access to culturally-responsive treatment, especially in underserved communities.

Goal setting is a collaborative process. Together, we will determine actionable steps to achieve your goal, discuss how to measure your progress, and highlight the steps you take towards your goal.

Our first session is focused on establishing trust and creating a supportive environment. I will ask about your reasons for coming to therapy, your history, and what you hope to achieve. You will also have the opportunity to ask me questions about the therapy process.
