My name is Jasmine Baltazar and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, providing telehealth therapy services. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I specialize in women empowerment, stress, life transitions, relationships, healing intergenerational trauma, and depression and anxiety. I provide culturally responsive, compassionate, and relational therapy.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of my clients, but I mostly use a strength-based approach. I offer comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals navigating their mental health, family systems, intergenerational trauma, parenthood, and interpersonal relationships. I provide culturally responsive, compassionate, and relational therapy.
My focus
I am specifically passionate about empowering women to break trauma cycles, honor themselves, and discover their most authentic selves. My goal for the therapeutic space is to be supportive throughout your process. Individuals struggling with their mental health can bring many highs and lows and challenging them in ways that can oftentimes feel as though they are living a life that is unsustainable. Amidst these challenges life continues; you continue to have a job, a partner, friends, and family that require you to be present. It is during these transitions that therapy can be supportive and transformational.
My communication style
My communication style is transparent, compassionate, and empathetic. When we work together to navigate your challenges, you can hope to experience self-discovery, self-compassion, exploration, problem-solving, communication styles, and boundary setting.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting with clients will come in the first few sessions together as I gain a better understanding of what is bringing you into therapy, where you are in your healing journey, and what you expect out of therapy. Once your goal(s) are made clear, I hope to empower you to meet your goals through compassion, exploration, knowledge, and transparency. My hope for you is that you begin to recognize your worth, find joy in your life, and become attuned with yourself so that you are able to recognize people, places, and/or situations that no longer serve you.
My first session with you
The first session is all about getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. The initial session will be setting the frame for where you are currently in your life and where you want to be. We will discuss your history, background, current challenges, strengths, and general outcomes that you would like to see from therapy in the next 3-6 months.
