I live in the beautiful Southwest, and I embrace my Hispanic heritage. In New Mexico, we regularly debate whether to have red chile or green chile. I wish life were that simple, but we know it is not. As a mental health therapist, I strive to provide evidence-based interventions and skill-building strategies to navigate through challenging times.
My focus
I help adults overcome trauma due to family intergenerational abuse. The focus of treatment is to work through the anxiety, depression, guilt, and a host of other issues that result from unresolved emotional pain. My approach
My interest is in complex trauma and how adverse experiences affect the nervous system. In healing from trauma, it is important to combine talk therapy with mindfulness and skill-building. My approach to therapy is to integrate body and mind, and to develop therapeutic strategies like CBT and DBT to positively impact the person as a whole.
