Hi there, I'm Juana!
I am a bilingual (English & Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California, providing individual therapy sessions via telehealth. I work with young adults, adults, and seniors from diverse identities, backgrounds, and cultures who experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, mood fluctuations, and many more.
My focus
During my career, I have had the advantage of working with minors, teenagers, young adults (ages 18-26), adults, and seniors (60+) in various settings, including an outpatient behavioral health center for severe mental health illness, a medical community clinic, juvenile probation, a shelter for minors, and mobile mental health agency for seniors.
My approach
In my work of helping people, a good approach is meeting clients where they are at. This means collaborating in a compassionate way as a team (client/therapist) and embracing a variety of therapeutic interventions. This will help clients to go at their own pace, never pushing them to a place the client doesn’t feel ready to be.
