My journey to mental healthcare
I majored in psychology in college and never looked back. I genuinely enjoy being a therapist and cannot imagine doing anything else.
My goals for you
My aim is to create a collaborative relationship with clients and encourage clients to advocate for their mental health needs. I collaboratively develop treatment goals with clients based on clients' personal goals for therapy as well as based on clinical observation and knowledge.
My first session with you
The first session will focus on gathering information to better understand the reasons a client has decided to start therapy. I will further assess symptoms, impairments, and the client's background including relationships, employment, family history, etc. I will also collaboratively develop treatment goals with the client. I also use the first session as an opportunity to build rapport and begin developing a therapeutic relationship with clients. Additionally, I will answer any questions or concerns clients may have.
