My approach
I use a broad range of cognitive behavioral and insight-oriented techniques in the psychotherapy and counseling process. Working collaboratively with my clients to set the goals and pace of the psychotherapy process is my favorite aspect in psychology.
My focus
My clinical interests have included work with the following populations: older adults, teens, adults, transgender individuals, including the unhoused and the incarcerated. I have experience working with clients diagnosed with anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, antisocial personality disorder, suicidal ideation, sexual offenses, and psychopathy.
My communication style
I believe in open, honest dialogue where we work together to understand your unique challenges. My communication style is direct but compassionate, focusing on creating a safe space for you to express yourself. I listen attentively and ask questions to ensure I fully grasp your perspective before collaboratively exploring solutions.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey as a mental health professional was shaped by my early career endeavors as a law enforcement professional. This experience provided me with unique insights and perspectives that I bring to my clinical work.
