Hi there, I'm Miranda!

I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been in private practice for about six years. Before that, I worked in clinical settings, criminal and family courts, and shelters. My training experience includes supporting at-risk youth and victims of domestic violence in various environments.

I currently work with adults via telehealth solely.

My approach

I don't subscribe to any single theoretical approach, and I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic techniques while allowing you to share your experiences. I will also teach you the skills to help you contain any reactions or symptoms that come up while processing.

My communication style

I am supportive, affirming, and curious when meeting with my clients. I am not afraid to ask challenging questions. I use non-directive techniques to elicit introspection and self-reflection. Your therapy session is your time, and I provide a safe place for you to express yourself.

I have been a social worker since 2010 and became a licensed psychotherapist in 2019. I am passionate about empowering men and women to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.

Our first session

I believe the most important first step in the therapeutic relationship is to build trust and rapport. I will be asking you a lot of background questions in the first session, and I will give you time to ask me any questions you may have.
