My name is Yevett and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I work with adults using a variety of therapeutic approaches to address anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relationship issues. I use a collaborative and non-judgmental approach to help my clients get the most out of sessions.
My approach
My approach varies based on the client's needs and may use a variety of interventions. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Mindful Self-Compassion as foundational tools that can help individuals from all walks of life.
My focus
I primarily specialize in adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, and interpersonal relationships. I have also worked with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse.
My communication style
My style is collaborative and personable. I like to use humor as needed but can also provide gentle encouragement when facing issues. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me and I am open to discussing feedback.
My journey to mental healthcare
We all know or have been someone who struggles with mental health issues that keep us from living up to our potential. For this reason, I am passionate about providing clients with the tools they need to see the potential within themselves to overcome their current and future struggles.
My goals for you
It's important for clients to develop goals to get the most out of our sessions together. My goal is to help clients find out their goals through collaborative discussion and then identify steps to take to get there.
My first session with you
The first session revolves around hearing your story and exploring your needs from me. I will also ask questions to gain a better understanding of who you are and what has led to your current situation. The first session is also a chance for us to get to know each other and find what direction we can go in with regard to treatment.
