I enjoy working with individuals ready for something different in their lives. I retired from agency work several years ago and since that time I have enjoyed a small client base so I am flexible to accommodate their varying schedules.
My approach
I utilize cognitive/behavioral techniques and mindfulness practices. My experience over the years has been varied. I have worked with shamans, medicine men/women, and energy healers over the years, and I incorporate what I have learned into my practice.
My focus
I work with populations that include: adults struggling with depression, anxiety, or adjustment disorders. I have expertise working with LGBTQ and transgender populations.
My communication style
I maintain a calm, non-judgmental space for therapy sessions. I like to focus on what has worked in the past and build on success.
My journey to mental healthcare
Growing up with a mother who suffered from Bi-Polar disorder confused me in my early years. After doing some of my own work as an adult, I became passionate about the change process and helping people. I then got exposed to several different spiritual practices that further inspired my desire to help people live a more joyful life.
