Hi there, I'm Michelle!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 14 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to treating children, adolescents, and adults in the Los Angeles area. With a master's degree in Child Development and a background working in non-profit and community mental health agencies, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and solution-focused, drawing from various modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Positive Parenting, Humanistic, and Trauma Focused Therapy. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients can feel heard and supported as we work together to foster growth and achieve personal goals.

My focus

I specialize in helping individuals, including minors (ages 13-17) and preteens (ages 8-12), who are struggling with a wide range of concerns. These include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, behavioral issues, autism or Asperger's syndrome, emotional disturbance, family conflict, impulsivity, parenting challenges, school issues, self-esteem, stress, teen violence, and child abuse or neglect.

My communication style

Open communication and a strong therapeutic relationship are at the core of my practice. I strive to create an environment rooted in respect and empathy, where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through active listening and collaborative dialogue, we will work together to develop effective coping strategies and promote positive change.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep passion for helping others and a fascination with human behavior and development. Pursuing a Master of Social Work allowed me to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those facing mental health challenges. Over the past 14 years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in various settings, honing my expertise and solidifying my commitment to this field.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal is to empower you with the tools and insights needed to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and lead a fulfilling life. Whether you are struggling with emotional difficulties, navigating life transitions, or seeking to improve your relationships, I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we will work to enhance your self-awareness, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being.

My first session with you

During our first session, my priority is to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story. We will take the time to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, explore your background and experiences, and identify your goals for treatment. This initial meeting will also provide an opportunity for you to ask questions, express any concerns, and determine if we are a good fit to work together. From there, we will collaborate to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and aspirations.
