Hi, my name is Kash. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 6 years of experience providing therapeutic services in various settings, including outpatient clinics, school-based, home-based, intensive outpatient, and private practices.
My approach
My clinical approach is integrative. I take my time to understand the issues brought into the session and determine the best approach collaboratively with the client and all other collaborators involved in treatment. I utilize modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Culturally Sensitive, Dialectical (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Therapy, Gestalt, Gottman Method, Sex Therapy, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), and Trauma Focused therapy.
My focus
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I specialize in treating Addiction, ADHD, Adolescents/Teens, Anxiety, Child Abuse or Neglect, Cultural Stress, Coping Skills, Depression, Divorce, Domestic Violence, Drug Abuse, Dual Diagnosis, Grief, Infertility, Infidelity, Job Stress, LGBTQIA+ issues, Life Transitions, Marital/Pre-marital concerns, Women's Issues, Spirituality, and Men's Issues.
My communication style
I am skilled in helping individuals, couples, and families develop strategies to manage stressful situations, planning during crises, and connecting to higher levels of care or community resources that are available to all. I understand that dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns can be overwhelming, which is why I am here to provide the best care and support during this time of need.
My journey to mental healthcare
I graduated from Holy Names University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from August 2014 to May 2017 in Oakland, CA. I am currently pursuing my Psychology Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. As a South Asian therapist, I have made it a priority to address and educate issues within the South Asian community by helping individuals and families understand the impact of mental health issues on daily functioning.
My goals for you
My goal is to provide you with the strategies, support, and guidance you need to improve your mental well-being and help you thrive in your relationships and life. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work together to help you gain insight, develop coping skills, and make positive changes.
