My name is Andria Innerbichler, an LSCW who provides psychotherapy for clients who are wanting reach their therapeutic goals. I offer a warm, welcoming, and open environment for you to feel free to address the needs that brought you to therapy. I utilize Systems Theory, Solution Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy modalities.
My approach
I enjoy helping to strengthen the family unit and utilizing a systems approach, as well as solution-focused therapy, to obtain therapy goals. I hope to reduce overall distress and resolve conflict by improving the interactions in each relationship. Whether in family or couples treatment, you will learn effective communication, the importance of connection, and problem-solving skills that can be put into practice in sessions and between sessions.
My focus
I am most experienced in working with ages 15-50. She has additional expertise and training with young adults transitioning into adulthood, ages 16-25 years old. I understand that it is a time of huge psychological and social development that comes with coming into independence and self-sufficiency. I will support you through these changes and challenges.
My communication style
My therapeutic space is one of warmth, open, relaxation, and transparency. I provide a place for you to come and feel open and ready to share. I want us to develop a relationship that is based on trust and accountability on both ends. The environment is informal to provide a safe space for those to feel welcome to share their therapeutic needs.
My journey to mental healthcare
As a young adult, I found my passion in the field of working with people by advocating for and helping with unhoused families by chance. Originally, my life was headed on a much different trajectory, and it wasn't until I was offered the career of case management for a family shelter that I realized that I did not enjoy the life I was creating and needed to begin to look elsewhere. In working with families, I started to recognize the connections we all have with one another. I began to understand the world was more than a tiny focus I had created for herself. I recognized that I had an opportunity to advocate and help others who are just surviving hard moments in life. I want to provide assistance in processing and helping others to meet their goals during life stressors.
My goals for you
Goal setting starts and ends with you during your sessions with me. We will discuss and prioritize what goals are most important to address. I am here to meet you where you are at. We will take apart those goals and create a plan of action. Within that action plan, we will look at how you will know you have met those goals, how long you want to work on them, and if they are realistic to your current life. These goals are created by you. You are the expert on your life, and I want you to feel ready to address each goal individually.
My first session with you
During the first session, you can expect to learn about me while you introduce yourself to me. In these introductions, we will discuss how to work best together and what you need to feel most comfortable in working with me. We will address the needs that brought you to therapy, and ways you have tried to address those in the past, and what was helpful and what wasn't. The initial session will be getting to know you.
