Hi there, I'm Tonya!

I believe every person has the strength within them to solve their problems and improve their wellness. Therapy provides a safe place to explore and leverage those strengths. I am a partner and encouraging coach on your journey to creating your definition of a happy, healthy lifestyle.

My focus

I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, life transitions, loss, grief, or divorce. I have a son with autism and understand the struggles parents face. I can help process feelings of grief, confusion, sadness, exhaustion, and anger.

My approach

I use a person-centered, solution-focused approach to treatment. Together, we will explore your experiences, your support, and find solutions to your problems that will result in building skills you can draw from to tackle issues in the future. You do not have to be stuck in your current situation.

My communication style

I provide a safe space to process feelings and experiences. I help guide my clients toward solutions that work for them, given their environment, lifestyle, and culture. I encourage exploring a deeper understanding of inner strength, a sense of gratitude, and the development of personal insight.

My journey to mental healthcare

I am driven to do this work because I truly believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a life that is best for them, have relationships that are impactful to them, and have the strength to set their boundaries for their well-being. I help people realize that they are capable of helping themselves.

You are the leader of your life. I'm here to help you gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that you can take a leadership role.

During our first session, I will seek to understand your current situation and what you hope to get from therapy. We will get to know each other and discuss what brings you in now. What experiences have led you to seek support? We will determine a schedule for future sessions.
