Not currently accepting patients

Hi there, I'm Amparo!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I bring extensive experience working with diverse populations, including children and families, individuals navigating life stage transitions, those seeking life counseling, people with severe mental illness and developmental disabilities, and women's wellness.

My approach

My therapeutic approach draws from a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based interventions, and Trauma-Focused techniques. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family I work with.

My focus

I specialize in supporting patients across the lifespan, from children to older adults, with a wide variety of concerns. These include ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, grief, relationship issues, parenting challenges, career counseling, and women's issues, among many others.

My communication style

Effective communication is the foundation of my work. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly express your thoughts and feelings. Through active listening, empathy, and collaborative dialogue, we will work together to gain insights, build coping skills, and create positive changes in your life.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep desire to help others navigate life's challenges and reach their full potential. Pursuing a Master of Social Work degree equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based, compassionate care. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to work with diverse populations in various settings, continuously learning and growing as a therapist.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal is to empower you to lead a more fulfilling, balanced life. Together, we will identify your unique strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or seeking personal growth, I am committed to supporting you every step of the way.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will take the time to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and explore your goals. I will gather information about your background, experiences, and any current concerns. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, get a sense of my therapeutic style, and determine if we are a good fit. From there, we will collaborate to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs and objectives.
