Hi there, I'm Yesica!

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist treating adult individuals via telehealth. I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, depression, anxiety, scrupulosity, OCD, and mood disorders. I utilize a Catholic faith-based integrative approach in the client's journey of healing, and flourishing.

My focus

I work with adolescents (16-17 years old) and adult individuals (18-59 years old). I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to heal from their past trauma from childhood and throughout their lives. I work with individuals who are consistent with their appointments and ready to reprocess traumatic events.

My approach

I utilize EMDR to treat PTSD and comorbid conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, anger, phobias, mood disorders, etc. I utilize attachment and schemas research to support the client in healing attachment and relational trauma as well as to heal their identity and self-concept ("I'm not good enough" or "I'm unlovable).

My communication style is authenticity, honesty, and compassion. My goal is for clients to achieve their treatment goals, and begin to thrive individually, with others, and in society.

My journey to mental healthcare

My biggest desire is to see my clients overcome depression, anxiety, and heal from their trauma. My goal as a therapist is to support my client in finding true happiness that comes through developing virtue and holiness, successfully meeting the challenges and commitments in his/her chosen vocation, and thriving in her/his professional life.

My goals for you

In session, we will complete an 8-phased protocol to EMDR. Each phase is unique, and in phase 3 we will begin reprocessing traumatic experiences.

Our first session

In our first session, I would like to learn about you, your life story, and what brings you to therapy. I gather information about your family history, trauma experiences, and current coping mechanisms. I will also provide details on the different treatment approaches I use in my practice, discuss the treatment plan, and create therapy goals.
