Hi there, I'm Oreta!

I have been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over seventeen years, who enjoys helping others. I've been in the Mental Health Industry for over twenty years, providing various levels of counseling support. Over the years, I have found that everyone can use some help with processing challenges going on in their life.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and anyone who needs someone to talk to as they find their way toward healing from everyday life stressors.

I provide an interpersonal solution-focused approach to help you on your healing journey. I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relational problems, and substance use through various treatment modalities.

I provide a friendly, warm environment where you can feel comfortable expressing your feelings and concerns. I'm a good listener who wants to hear your story and help you work toward your healing journey.

My journey to mental healthcare

While attending college, I knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could help people or provide support after volunteering for various crisis lines and seeing that being a good listener and being present for someone can make a difference. I decided to pursue a career in Human Health Services. I have over twenty years of experience.

I believe success and progress come through making small steps toward being happy, finding peace within yourself, and discovering solutions and skills that make you feel better overall.

Our first session

My first session will include a short introduction of myself, background information about my experience, building rapport, and asking my client what they hope the treatment will provide. I will also complete a short initial assessment to learn more about my client and why they came into therapy.
