My communication style

My approach is kind and non-judgemental, and my objective is to help clients obtain a depth understanding of what is bothering them. An understanding that usually includes an awareness that there is nothing inherently wrong with them, with a clarity on how best to resolve their issues of concern.

My journey to mental healthcare

The trigger for my decision to become a therapist happened in my late twenties. I was struggling as a single parent with a 9-month-old and having no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I finally listened to my friend's advice and went to see a therapist. And it helped. A lot. And I feel a sense of meaning and purpose when able to help.

My goals for you

I find out what my clients want to accomplish, explain my approach for helping them reach their goal, including the steps we are going to take to get there.

Our first session

By the end of your first session, you will feel understood in a non-judgmental manner and be aware that the resolution of your issues will not usually include the assignment of blame, either to yourself or to another.
