Hello! My name is Lynn Young, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a genuine passion for working with couples and individuals in a supportive, engaging, and non-judgmental way. I work collaboratively with clients to help guide them to their preferred future.
My approach
I am solution-focused in nature and enjoy supporting and gently guiding my clients to explore their hopes, dreams, and preferred futures and recognizing exceptions to presenting symptoms. I am trained in Gottman Couples Counseling Level 1, 2, 3, and Treating Trauma and Affairs. I have also completed training in EMDR, and have participated in many trainings correlated with trauma, Solution Focused, CBT, and mindfulness/DBT. I use therapeutic approaches that meet the needs of each individual client and their goals.

I enjoy working with couples and individuals with an emphasis on current and past relationships and the impact on current self/thoughts of self.
My communication style
I create an open forum for my clients to process their feelings in a comfortable, safe, and empathetic environment.
My journey to mental healthcare
I feel very passionate about my work and becoming a therapist came from a deep desire to help and support others.
My first session with you
The client should expect to feel heard, have genuine interest, and positive regard, and be reassured as we begin walking together toward their preferred future. Beginning with the first session, I am in search of the client's best hopes, preferred future, and small steps we can take to achieve their goals
