As a therapist with 23 years of experience, I bring a humanistic and compassionate approach to working with clients from all walks of life. My focus is on understanding each person's unique concerns and experiences.
My approach
I start by creating a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to share their stories. Drawing from various therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centered, Humanistic, and Culturally Sensitive approaches, I tailor my interventions to meet the specific needs of each individual. My aim is to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and develop the tools they need to navigate life's challenges.
My focus
I have extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults. Some of the issues I commonly address include Depression/Mood disorders, History of Trauma/Abuse, Grief/Loss, Cultural Issues, LGBTQIA Issues, and Self-Esteem Issues. I am committed to providing an inclusive and affirming environment for all.
My communication style
Open and honest communication is the foundation of my therapeutic relationships. I listen actively and empathetically, ensuring that my clients feel heard and validated. I believe in collaborating with clients to set goals and explore solutions, empowering them to take an active role in their healing journey.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute in Chatsworth, CA. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a deep desire to help others overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives. My multicultural background and fluency in Spanish have enabled me to connect with and support a wide range of clients.
My goals for you
My ultimate goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, build healthier relationships, and enhance your overall well-being. Whether you are struggling with emotional distress, navigating life transitions, or seeking personal growth, I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we will work to uncover your inherent strengths and develop strategies to help you thrive.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will explore your reasons for seeking therapy and discuss your goals and expectations. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit. I will ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of your background, experiences, and current challenges. You will also have the chance to ask me any questions you may have about my approach and how I can support you. Together, we will begin to develop a plan to address your concerns and work towards your desired outcomes.
