Hello, my name is Nefertiti De Silva. I am a licensed therapist with a Master of Social Work degree and over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across various settings. This diverse background has provided me with a vast knowledge base and exposure to a wide range of perspectives, situations, and challenges.
My approach
I believe creating a positive therapeutic relationship and a safe environment is essential for change to take place. My approach is client-centered, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused techniques, and a strengths-based perspective. I tailor my modality to what will be most effective for each individual client.

I specialize in helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, coping skills, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, family conflict, infidelity, trauma, and PTSD. I am passionate about supporting clients on their journey towards greater well-being and reaching their personal goals.

In our first session, we will discuss what is bringing you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will ask some questions to better understand your background, current situation, and needs. We\'ll begin to develop a strong rapport and treatment plan to guide our work together. You can ask me any questions you have as well, so you feel comfortable and confident moving forward.
