Do you struggle with food, weight, or body image? I specialize in helping individuals heal their relationship with food and their bodies. I take a collaborative approach to help you gain control over food and make peace with your body so that you are free to focus on other aspects of your life. Do you feel out of control with your eating, or anxious about food? Does food give you comfort, or distract you from your feelings? Are you unhappy with your body and appearance? Through the therapy process, I’ll help you develop goals to improve your relationship with food and your body that feel manageable and empowering.
My approach
I utilize CBT and DBT to help you reframe unhelpful thought patterns and develop emotion regulation skills instead of using food to cope and soothe yourself. I also incorporate self-compassion, mindfulness, and insight-oriented techniques designed to help you understand the role food plays in your life, and how to better connect to your body.
