My communication style

I work at creating an environment where the clients I work with can feel calm and build trust and rapport that eases them into what the goal of the session is about for the client. Motivational Interviewing and empathetic listening, depending on the needs of the client.

My journey to mental healthcare

I first became a case manager in an outpatient group setting and taught psycho-educational groups. I really enjoyed working alongside the therapists and learned soon after that I enjoyed helping people. I then pursued my degree in social work and worked on building more skills and working in different settings.

My goals for you

When it comes to setting goals, I look for the voice and choice of the client, and I lend a hand in ensuring the goal is SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.

Our first session

The first session is the intake, where the client will let me know what brought them in to see me and tell me their story. If a client struggles with sharing, I will ask questions that help me understand their story and create a treatment plan that will work for them.
