Welcome from Louise Scott a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The first step to success in therapy is to trust a clinician who can tackle the emotional challenges that you desire to improve.

My approach

Most often I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy with an eclectic style of other therapies. I would invite you to discuss issues such as depression, anxiety, sex abuse, and trauma as well as other concerns.

My focus

Having been in the counseling field for over 14 years has given me insight into each person’s unique strengths and perceptions. I have worked with thousands of individuals who have had varied backgrounds, including multicultural, Gay, domestic violence, sex abuse, and stressful family situations, to give a few examples. My focus has been with adults.

My communication style

I utilize a creative and sometimes humorous perspective to balance the emotions, while tackling difficult topics that a client may have experienced. I personalize the session based on your learning style and worldview.

My journey to mental healthcare

Before participating in a Master's in Social Work, my undergraduate study was in teaching. I have been involved in the public, private, and home schooling sectors as well as school board chairperson. These exposures prepared me for an insightful understanding of the many ways people learn. When the opportunity arose to pursue my passion for counseling, I incorporated my life experiences into helping others through therapy.
