I would like to create an environment where you can safely explore and process any thoughts in relation to your anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop positive coping skills, healthy boundaries, and communication skills to help improve their quality of life.

My approach

I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused interventions, and motivational interviewing to help you manage mental health symptoms. My approach is collaborative and humanitarian to gain insight into your own needs. I utilize mindfulness techniques to assist with facilitating the ability to manage mental health symptoms.

I strive to create a supportive environment where we can engage in open dialogue and process your experiences. You can expect me to engage and ask questions to better assist you with exploring and understanding your needs.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey towards practicing therapy began with an interest in better understanding what motivates human behavior and how we can modify it. My work with adult and older adult populations has shown me that resilience is a journey, and we will continue to learn and heal throughout our lives.

Our first session

In our first session together, in addition to creating a safe and welcoming environment for you, we will also discuss specific challenges you would like to focus on by setting realistic goals and objectives and discussing time frames. This discussion will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
