Hi there, I'm Jillian!

I strive to break the barriers of mental health stigmas. I want to provide a safe, comfortable environment for my clients to be able to vent and heal from their stressors while expressing themselves in talk therapy. Therapy should be a place for the client to benefit and gain insight from an unbiased approach.

My focus

I focus on the client's needs. I start by providing psychoeducation since many clients haven't had therapy before, and every therapist is different. I like to ask what they want out of therapy; then, build rapport so we can collaboratively identify goals they would like to complete during treatment.

My approach

I work collaboratively with my clients to identify goals and help them process suppressed memories and current stressors.

My communication style

Communication is important for both the therapist and client. I utilize attachment theory to identify what attachment style my client has, which helps me to see what their comfortable communication style is. The goal is to get to a secure attachment so the client is comfortable communicating in and out of therapy.

I'm passionate about helping people overcome barriers and find healing. Mental health work allows me to support clients through their unique challenges while creating a space where they feel heard and understood.
