Change is difficult, and learning to trust someone is even harder. I work to create affirming, empowering, and safe spaces for healing. My goal is to help you feel "self-connected" and to prepare you for your journey through life.
My focus
I like to help clients understand the natural process of the brain and how managing thoughts is how you control your emotions and behavior. How changing behavioral responses improves one's ability to cope. This is when the chaos around you quiets down, and you start to feel better.
My approach
I use a traditional cognitive behavioral (CBT) approach when working with clients; however, I tend to add a variety of mixes to that CBT approach, incorporating a more direct, solutions-based approach to solving problems and identifying what works best for you and your current situation.
