My approach
I love doing therapy for the purpose of building insight into yourself and overcoming challenges you might be facing. My approach in therapy focuses on working through multiple key points during your lifetime that have impacted you in order to help process and overcome them.
My focus
I work with an array of clients of all ages. Being Hispanic myself, I find to have a strong connection and insight into families and clients with the same background. I have worked with clients from ages 2 to 45 yrs old.
My communication style
In therapy, I try to provide a calm and open environment to explore sensitive topics. I try to make you feel comfortable in sharing your life story and in helping you be open to working on symptoms impacting you. I incorporate calming techniques to help you have a moment of reflection and grounding.
My journey to mental healthcare
Since I was young, I was always attracted to psychology. I always would ask why? concerning human behavior. Being a therapist, I am on a journey with you in asking that question. I enjoy helping clients become curious and reflect on the current behaviors stemming from the past. I enjoy seeing clients understand their thinking patterns and improve their esteem.
My goals for you
At the beginning of treatment, we would set your goals for therapy and create a reasonable timeline for symptoms/behaviors to improve. As we begin therapy we will adjust to better fit your current ability to work on set goals.
