My journey to mental healthcare

As a first-generation Latina American raised in East Los Angeles, I witnessed intergenerational trauma, multicultural issues, and systemic injustice. I've worked with diverse populations emphasizing cultural competence, including youth, adults, first-time mothers, and individuals impacted by foster care, homelessness, and incarceration.
