Hi there, I'm Chris!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, therapist, and human being who deeply believes in the healing potential of connection, presence, and meaning-making. The most meaningful qualification I possess is my own humanity, as we share the experience of navigating through the same kinds of complexities, longings, and questions that shape us all.

My focus

I work with adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, family and cultural complexities, attachment and relationship difficulties, trauma, and questions of identity, meaning, and purpose. For those who've felt unseen or misunderstood, I strive to offer a space where your experience can be shared and safely held.

My approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and grounded above all in a deep respect for the world's leading expert on your own life experience: you! I draw primarily from person-centered and psychodynamic perspectives to offer a space where all parts of you are welcome as we work together toward a sense of clarity and authenticity.

My communication style

I aim to be warm, grounded, curious, and authentic in service of a space where you feel genuinely seen and heard. I hope to create a space that welcomes honesty and vulnerability at a depth and pace that's right for you, where we can laugh, cry, or express whatever needs to be felt in the moment.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a kid, I dreamed of becoming a musician, drawn to the wonders of the human capacity for unique, individual expression. My early work in community mental health in Los Angeles helped me to see and feel how connection can transform lives. I now see my work as a therapist as its own form of artistry that I think would make my young self proud.

Our first session

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll invite you to tell your story and ask questions to help bring things into focus, like setting the edge pieces of a puzzle that we'll work on together. In my experience, the pieces are all there somewhere. You don't need to have it all figured out - just bring yourself.
